Joy Lehman

I grew up in Scottsdale, AZ before it became “Scottsdale.” I believed in Jesus and was baptized early in life and enjoyed family, music, church community including an amazing youth group of friends several of whom became pastors. After high school graduation I moved with my family to Colorado and attended a Bible College where I enjoyed being part of a traveling vocal performance group. After graduation, more schooling in AZ and then working as a dental assistant in AZ and then CO where I met Ric.

On our first date he said that he was on a journey with God and didn’t know where he was going except with God.” Well, I opted into the adventure and eventually had to eat my words that “I will never be a pastor’s wife.” I’ve enjoyed our travels together, singing on worship teams, leading women’s Bible study groups, and now team-teaching with Ric. We have been married 35 years (2022) and have three children, two sons-in-love, and four grandchildren.
